Deep brain stimulation (DBS) gave us decades of promises. It has become clear to us that DBS is not poised to be the answer - not until we drastically reinvent it.

Nothing that requires drilling multiple holes in one’s skull will ever be a treatment that we can offer to most patients we see in our hospitals and clinics.

It’s time for us to aim for a bigger change. We finally have the means to overhaul deep brain therapeutics. We won’t rest until we have reinvented it to a form that we can offer it to most treatment-resistant patients that we care for everyday. Here, we are completely redesigning the way we approach deep brain circuits, towards an incisionless and precise approach with lifelong resolution of symptoms.
